Thread of Light — the 2026 Advent Calendar has arrived 🌅
Hello knitting and crochet friends!
I'm happy to announce that the Advent & Fade Collection 2026 has arrived.
This year, on this journey that leads us to Winter, I've decided to take you to a faraway, warm, and cozy place.
Imagine a warm late summer evening, a beautiful sunset of gold, magenta, and violet in the sky. A sky perfectly reflected in the colors of an inviting living room, a place that welcomes you among sofas and cushions covered in silk, velvet, and brocade, where mosaic lamps of colored glass cast reflections of light on the walls. A warm space that smells of spices, incense, and steaming tea. That's where Thread of Light lives.
There are two paths to take on this journey:
The Daily Calendar — 25 mini skeins, to unwrap every day until Christmas. This edition captures the more delicate side of the palette, with semi-solid shades from light to medium, enhancing both the softer and more vibrant hues: a soft and continuous gradient from magenta to gold, passing through amber and tobacco, to violet.
The Weekly Fade — 5 large skeins, to open one each week of Advent, and the last on Christmas Day, in the spirit of our tradition of lighting a candle each week of Advent. This edition focuses on the darker and richer side of the same palette, with subtly variegated shades that blend softly into each other without harsh color breaks — creating a fluid and organic transition.
Each box, Daily or Weekly, includes a small bonus mini skein — a delicate and bright neutral inspired by the glow of those mosaic glass lamps (a 10g mini skein for smaller sets, 20g for larger ones). This special mini skein is designed to add a unique final touch to your masterpiece: you can use it for a small border, to insert color accents, or perhaps for delicate embroidered details? A beautiful way to make your project truly your own, unique and unrepeatable.
And if you want to frame a larger project, or use your mini skeins as pops of color, you can order extra 100g skeins of the coordinated color separately!
Both editions include two new exclusive patterns — one crochet, one knitted. Although originally designed for the mini skeins of the Daily Calendar, both are easy to adapt to the Weekly Fade skeins for a truly impactful geometric and color-block effect. The crochet pattern plays with granny squares in a modern key; the knitted one is a modular shawl designed to highlight every shade.

I hand-dye every set here, in my home in Ariccia, in limited batches, and each package is carefully packed by me. Some orders have already arrived, even before sending this letter, and it makes me very happy to see you return, trusting my work — it truly means so much!
