Balena - Baby Alpaca + Merino DK

A beautiful non superwash blend of the softest Baby Alpaca and Merino wool

Merino wool at 21 micron is extremely soft to the skin. The Baby Alpaca add a silky like feel and drapiness, making it great for shawls or sweaters alike, and amazing for baby knits.

The colors are soft and muted, and can be combined together. Stripes, color blocks, let your creativity flow!

This is the yarn I used for my sleeveless version of my Zafferano Sweater.

Recommended needle size - gauge

4 to 5 mm (U.S. 6 to 8) needles - around 18–22 sts in Stockinette stitch to 10 cm - 4"

This is the softest yarn which brings together the best of both fibres!

Baby Alpaca is incredibly warm, light and strong. It contains no lanolin, which makes it safe to wear also for delicate skin. Merino fibre is extremely fine, it has natural elasticity which helps a garment stretch yet return back to its original shape.
