Ajuga - New color of the month - April
Meet Ajuga 🪻 surrounded by the lovely blooms which inspired it and gave its name.
A gently and subtly variegated purple/green, my absolute favourite color combination!
Ajuga is a lovely little wildflower, one of the very first blooming in early Spring and it makes for a true feast for hungry bees and bumblebees after the long Winter.
Over years I've been careful to not cut them until all the blooms are spent, so they're slowly taking a big part of the garden, which means lot of food for bees, and to me that sums up what garden is about, to feed the belly, for human or insects alike, while feeding the soul ❤️
Ajuga blooms start blueish/purple on a bed of yellow/green leaves, as they fade they leave place to beautiful silvery gray and beige neutrals. All those colors comes in the skeins, gently merging one in the other with no heavy marks.
This is one of the news coming in the shop this Friday, together with a new yarn club (or two) and some sock and mini skeins sets, you can subscribe to the newsletter or activate the notification bell to see more of what is coming! 😊
