Gradient of the Month - April

April Gradient of the Month - Olive

I love my gradient sets and I'd love to dye them in every possible color! But my space is limited and I can't stock them all at once. The solution? Dyeing a small quantity of a new color each month. 

Gradients are composed of 5 mini skeins forming an ombre fade of a single hue.

Each of the 5 skeins weighs 20 grams for a total of 100 gr per each set.

For April I've choose the color Olive, one of my absolute favourite hue.

Olive greens usually leans more to yellow than green, tends to have a warm tone, and usually works amazing well on their own, almost like a neutral gray or brown, but will make for a very special project when paired with other colors, from oranges to pinks, from reds to plums, for amazing contrast, from yellows to teals for subtle contrast.

Sock - Fingering - 75% Merino Superwash + 25% nylon - 425m/464yds per 100 gr

Recommended needle size - gauge

2.25 to 3.25 mm (U.S. 1 to 3) needles - around 27–32 sts in Stockinette stitch to 10 cm - 4"

3.25 to 3.75 mm (U.S. 3 to 5) needles - around 23–26 sts in Stockinette stitch to 10 cm - 4"
