My Baby Alpaca and Extra Fine Merino DK base is one of my personal favorites for next-to-skin comfort. It is a luxurious, non-superwash blend that feels like a cloud: the 21-micron Merino provides natural elasticity, while the Baby Alpaca adds a silky drape and that unmistakable, delicate "halo" that wraps every stitch in warmth.
The palette is intentionally soft and muted, designed so that the shades can be effortlessly combined for stripes, colorwork, or sophisticated fades.
The perfect match for my Lounge Hat. I chose this exact yarn for my new Lounge Hat (the first pattern of the Lounge Collection). This base provides incredible stitch definition and a plump, squishy texture that makes the hat a pure joy to wear.

Why I love this blend: Baby Alpaca is incredibly warm, light, and strong. Since it contains no lanolin, it is a wonderful choice for sensitive skin. Combined with the natural memory and bounce of Extra Fine Merino, it creates garments that are both luxurious and durable.
