(Golden fields, August light, earth that sings.)

Senape is a vibrant, deeply organic yellow gradient. It is not just a yellow; it is a journey through the warmth of a late summer afternoon. The set moves from a concentrated, spicy ochre to a soft, sun-bleached gold, capturing the essence of dried hay and wild mustard fields.

Color & Current Dye Bath: In this specific dye bath, the hue is rich, earthy, and perfectly desaturated to avoid any "neon" feel. As seen in the photos and swatches, it sits in that nostalgic territory between an antique gold and a toasted saffron. It feels grounded and sophisticated, reminiscent of harvest time and natural pigments. In the swatches, you can see how the five intensities blend seamlessly, moving from a dense, spice-like depth to a delicate, luminous finish.

STOCK & SHIPPING TIMES:

  • In Stock: Ready to ship in 1-3 business days.
  • Dyed to Order: This set is made specially for you. Please allow 2-3 weeks for your set to be crafted and fully dried before shipping.

Note on Batches: Hand-dyed yarn varies slightly between baths. If you are planning a large project, I recommend ordering a Dyed to Order set to ensure all skeins are dyed in the same harmonious bath.

The Gradient Collection: My Method
This collection was born from a desire to create garments that last—with colors inspired by nature that never go out of style—while also breaking the monotony of a single solid color. Gradients allow for those subtle shifts that make a garment beautiful, timeless, and truly unique.
The process:

  • Same recipe, different intensities: I use the same pigment blend in different dilutions for all 5 skeins; the result is a harmonious transition from tone to tone, with no jarring color jumps.
  • Small batches: Every set is hand-dyed in my studio. As a manual process, slight variations between batches guarantee that every project is one of a kind.
  • Carefully designed transitions: These gradients are designed for an effortless continuous fade, but they work equally well when used individually to create subtle contrasts within a larger garment.

🎨 Styling & Pairing Suggestions
The Natural Pairing: Senape pairs perfectly with charcoal grays, deep navy blues, forest greens, or creamy undyed wool.
Thematic Pairings (Snail Mix): I love pairing gradients to create greater depth. Here are the atmospheres Senape evokes when combined with other sets:

  • Harvest Hearth (with Rosa Antico): Deeply autumnal. The combination of warm mustard and earthy pink creates a vibrant, cozy, and nostalgic atmosphere.
  • Sunlit Foliage (with Eucalipto): A crisp, botanical pairing. The golden tones of Senape act as a splash of sunlight through the dusty, desaturated greens of Eucalipto.
  • Golden Twilight (with Viola): High contrast and sophisticated. Since purple is the complement of yellow, pairing Senape with Viola creates a bold, artistic transition that vibrates with life.
  • Late Summer Orchard (with Amarena): A rich, fruit-inspired combination. The deep berry notes of Amarena ground the golden glow of Senape for a warm, opulent look.
