🌅 The Journey & The Palette

This year, on this journey that takes us into Winter, I have decided to take you to a faraway place, warm and welcoming.

Imagine a warm, end of summer evening, a beautiful sunset of gold, magenta, and purple in the sky. It is a sky that perfectly reflects the colors of an inviting lounge, a place that welcomes you in its sofas and cushions covered in silks, velvets, and brocades, where mosaic lamps made of colored glass cast reflections of light onto the walls. A warm space that smells of spices, incense, and steaming tea.

This atmosphere will accompany us on a 25-day journey, told through 25 mini-skeins: 25 shades of light divided into 5 main colors that blend gently into one another—from magenta to gold, through the rich tones of tobacco and amber, all the way to the depths of plum—all fitting perfectly like a continuous thread.

The Daily Delight (25 Daily Surprises)

Your Advent Calendar is designed to be a luxurious daily treat, offering a curated collection of hand-dyed yarn and exclusive patterns to celebrate the season.

A Note on the Palette Nuances:

Although both calendars share the same color journey, the Daily Gradient edition captures the softer, illuminated nuances of the palette (from delicate light tones to medium-dark shades), whereas the Weekly Fade edition leans into the mystery—embracing the rich, deep, and darker end of the palette.

(Note: Please note that all included patterns are designed for Fingering weight yarn. Micro skeins are not available in the 100% wool bases.)

In addition to the 25 mini-skeins, each box will include an extra mini skein (20g or 10g, depending on the format chosen) in a perfectly coordinated color. 📐 Choose Your Project: Two Patterns Included!

This year, to give you complete creative freedom, the calendar will feature two different project ideas and two included patterns:

• The Crochet Option: Featuring modern Granny Squares as the absolute stars. You can create a blanket, a scarf, or a stole, depending on how you choose to combine your squares. Of course, I will provide you with plenty of ideas, but you will also be completely free to make your your own layout!
  
• The Knitting Option: If crochet isn't your preference, there will be a knitting project: a modular and colorful shawl/stole designed to showcase the full gradient in all its majesty, keeping every single shade and nuance distinct and beautifully highlighted, again with some space to play with the construction and make it truly yours!

📖 How the inspiration came to life

The idea for this year's calendar came about naturally at the beginning of this year, in the depth of winter, during a time when my motivation and desire to knit were running a bit low. It all sparked when I stumbled upon the Katzie’s Bed pattern. Since Triangles, a knitted quilt — the theme of my very first advent calendar, where I worked my sample cushion using leftovers — I hadn't made any other scrap project. Finding this little project, which I decided to work freely using leftovers of any weight by simply following the pure rhythm of color, was deeply inspiring.

From there, one idea quickly led to another. I began imagining using that same geometric concept to crochet some Nordic-style cushions for my dining room chairs, perhaps using mini-skeins from my old Winter Solstice fade advent. It was a chain of pure inspiration: I suddenly realized how perfect my beloved gradients would be for concentric, geometric motifs, creating modern, unique, and magnetic color interactions. That was the spark: making modern granny squares with gradients to bring a harmonious, warm, and cozy palette to life. The kind of piece you keep with you for a lifetime, just like Linus's blanket. ❤️

So, I decided to explore the gradient theme once again, but choosing a drastically different palette from the cool tones of the past. This time I’ll play slightly differently with colors, tones, and over-dyeing, to put together a cohesive, interesting mix of gradients that can be worked separated or combined together in a full fade, with just enough pop of color to liven up the whole palette. Far from the cool winter atmosphere of the past, we'll head to an unexplored, warm, scented, almost exotic place.

I hope these colors will bring light, color, and warmth into the coldest and darkest time of the year.

This year, I am adopting a new shipping approach to keep shipping rates and extra fees as low as possible for you, avoiding the high surcharges of private couriers.

For orders placed between July and mid September, shipments will follow this staggered timeline:

⚠️ Orders from October onwards: Please note that shipping rates and availability for countries outside the EU may be re-evaluated and updated based on ongoing postal performance.

International Shipping, Taxes & Duties

• 🇺🇸 USA Customers (No Surprise Fees!): Great news! Import duties and taxes for the United States will now be calculated and added directly at checkout. I will pre-pay them at the time of shipping, meaning the price you pay here is truly final—no unexpected carrier fees or customs delays upon delivery!
  
• 🇬🇧 UK Customers (Etsy Option): You can purchase your calendar through my Etsy shop to have your local taxes handled automatically. Please note that Etsy collects VAT upfront only on orders up to £135. For orders above this threshold, taxes and standard postal import fees will be collected by your local postal service upon delivery.
  
• 🌍 Other Countries Outside the EU (Etsy Option): For countries like Australia, New Zealand, Norway, and others where specific import tax regulations apply, you can complete your purchase through my Etsy Shop to have eligible local taxes collected automatically at checkout.
